Drone Solutions
Highlands Inspection company provides aerial inspections of commercial assets including wind farms, solar panels, industrial units and buildings, construction projects, land use monitoring including agriculture, ecology and forestry.
Having effectively had two careers, one in rural land use and one in renewable energy the principal inspector Jon Priddy understands the inspection needs of both sectors. In 2022 and 2023 Jon undertook extensive training in the use of drones for commercial work and is now a CAA licensed operator holding both A2CoC and GVC authorisations. In addition he undertook Thermography training and purchased UAV equipment able of capturing images in both the visual and infra red spectrums. In the visual spectrum it is possible to capture problems in real time and with repeat flights identify trends in deterioration. No need for ladders, putting staff at risk and the time it takes to undertake such inspections.
Following a storm for example the drone can be quickly deployed to inspect roof and building structures for damage assessment and enable repair decisions to be made quickly and provide peace of mind. Such inspections can be made on an as needs basis as well as scheduled into your annual maintenance regime. Using infra red imaging our drone technology and software is able to detect defects in insulation, heat loss, water ingress in buildings as well as faults in solar panel arrays representing financial losses.
As we move through a period of climate change the stresses and strains put on the built environment are increasing. Highlands Inspection Company are a natural partner in managing damage limitation and maintenance costs.
